2005-09-14, Conference dinner: Shuttle service to the dinner at National Library for those attenders logged in University Residence (20:00 h.) and Tryp Leganés Hotel (20:15 h.). At the end of the dinner we will provide buses to go back to Leganés.

2005-09-14, At today's plennary session (19:45 h.) it will be presented DC-2006 by people from University of Colima, Mexico. That will be broadcasted by UC3M-TV.

2005-09-08 All the registered people at DC-2005 could get extra ticket (30 €) for conference dinner at Spanish National Library to be held on Wednesday, 14 (ask Conference Secretariat staff on site). Reception Cocktail at "Las Dehesillas" garden (Leganés) on Monday will be for free for every delegates partner.

2005-09-07 DC-2005 attenders could use the University Sport Centre services (swimming pool, football and basketball courts, etc.) at student prices.

2005-09-02, The Collection Description WG meeting, which will be held on Wednesday 14 has changed the seminar room. It will be held at Videoconference room at the ground floor of the Leganés campus library.

2005-09-01, All the keynote speeches, tutorials, and the daily reports of the Conference, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast by videoconference. Streams will be powered by Audio-Visual department of the IT Service of University Carlos III of Madrid by UC3M-TV (DC-2005). You can find more information daily at UC3M-TV.

2005-08-22, It remains less than one month for DC-2005 starting. The exciting program includes 14 Workshops, 10 Special Sessions, 4 keynote presentations by important international speakers, 5 tutorials which will allow you to enhance your knowledge throughout the conference, and interesting papers presentation (14 full papers and 22 short papers). 2005-07-28, Due to the help of Instituto Cervantes, devoted to Spanish Language and Culture preservation and diffusion, we will offer simultaneous translation of all the Conference (Tutorials, keynotes, full and short papers presentation and plenaries for workshops reporting). 2005-07-21, The host organising committee has resolved to name as volunteers for the DC-2005 six of our students interested in cooperate with the Conference organisation. See the student's names chosen as "DC-2005 Volunteers".

2005-06-22, Make your registration for DC-2005. There are reduced prices available to students and special prices available to software vendors and developers of products and tools for metadata vocabularies to be registered as "exhibitor". See the section on registration fees for more details.

2005-06-15, Conference registration is now open. Note that there are special prices for registration before 15 July, and reduced prices available to students. See the section on registration fees for more details.

2005-06-13, The organising committee for DC-2005 have the pleasure to announce that a draft of the complete conference program is now available. The scientific committee has concluded the review process. The International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications received 54 proposals for participation: 25 full papers and 29 short papers. Finally 36 of these were accepted: 14 as papers and 22 as short papers. Meanwhile the workshop committee has organised working group meetings and special sessions in accord with the proposals and recommendations received, related to the theme of the conference, Vocabularies in Practice, and with the various ongoing activities of the DCMI itself. 2005-05-16, The Organization Committee of DC-2005 wants to remind software vendors and developers of products and tools for metadata vocabularies that Call for Exhibitors is still open. For more information, please contact: dc2005@fund.uc3m.es.

2005-05-12, The Program Committee has started the paper review process. As soon as the process finished we will communicate the results to the authors.

2005-04-19, Even though deadline for submission of papers officially was over April 15th, the paper submission system will be available during this week.

2005-04-19, The organising committee will review papers in Spanish. Acceptance may be conditional on the author providing an English translation. However we encourage submission of papers in Spanish, and will therefore keep the submissions system open for another week. The decision to accept for review papers in Spanish will at least allow authors to know their paper has been accepted before committing the resources to translate it themselves. It was taken in response to several requests for more time to allow for translation or for an indication of whether a paper is likely to be accepted before translation began.

2005-04-05, The Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana (Venezia) has translated the DC-2005 Call for Papers into Italian.

2005-02-07, The Organizing Committee of DC-2005, to be hosted by the University Carlos III of Madrid in Leganes (Madrid) on 12-15 September 2005, has opened the conference Web site, http://dc2005.uc3m.es with the Call for Papers. The call is open until 1 April 2005.
